Austarc 16TC Low Hydrogen Welding Electrodes

Stick electrodes for MMA welding on mild steel. Austarc 16TC is a low-hydrogen rod — the one to reach for on heavier sections, joints under restraint and repair work where you need a sound, crack-resistant weld.

• 2.5mm – 2.5kg pack — lighter sections, root runs and lower-amperage machines.
• 3.2mm – 5kg pack — the all-rounder for general fabrication on heavier plate and section.

Features:

• Low-hydrogen (hydrogen-controlled) electrode for crack-resistant welds
• Classification: E4916 A U H10
• H10 rating — diffusible hydrogen of no more than 10ml per 100g of weld metal

Common applications:

• Structural and general fabrication on mild steel
• Trailer, frame and gate repairs
• Farm and machinery maintenance

Tip: Low-hydrogen rods soak up moisture from the air, and damp rods lose their low-hydrogen benefit. Keep the pack sealed and store it somewhere dry.
